My vicarious travels

Somewhat cynical ramblings about books, backyards and internal things

Musings of an ordinary woman still dreaming of an extraordinary life. Lover of words, mum to three boys, book addict, foodie indulger and vicarious traveller.  These combined offer interesting times – some real, some imagined, but always treasured. My motto … If you can read it, you can imagine it, and if you can imagine it, you can believe it.  If you cannot read it, then write it. Chances are it’s on your mind anyway. I hope you enjoy the journey as I ramble on about everything that influences my world.

  1. Ha! Just write it! It’s more fun that way! However, when one mothers three boys alone, writing time is tough to chase down. Kudos to you! Nice to meet you!

    1. Hi Jennifer, yes, it can be tough. It’s the search for inspiration that’s sometimes even tougher. Loved your post about poop – that topic always provides a good chuckle.

  2. Hello!~ I just stumbled across your blog when I was looking for a photo of someone anonymously kissing a frog. D’ya mind if I use it? Also, I am writing a book about all the frogs I’ve kissed whilst traveling. I’d love for you to review it, as a fellow writer! :]

    1. Hi Danielle, I’d be happy to review your book, thank-you for asking. It sounds like it could be an entertaining read. I cannot recall where I sourced the image (naughty, I know), hence I cannot confirm free use (sorry). All the way from America … to Ireland (which I’ve heard is lovely) by the way. That said, I’m sure you’ve met many promising princes along the way. Happy writing!

  3. Hi, Thank you for your reply! I can give it to your either as an e-book or paperback. Please let me know which one that you would prefer!
